Here we leave you the links of some of the applications and websites, which have helped us to make our way easier.

Komoot

With komoot, adventures are another story. Decide where you want to go, plan the route in detail to go out with the cycle, MTB, road or hiking bike and let yourself be carried away by voice-guided navigation, even without an internet connection.

Our experience has been very positive. We acquired the app (which is paid) thanks to the recommendation of a German friend, experienced in cycling. Being able to make the tracks of each stage, very easily. It is very complete, it even recommends places to visit.

Guru Maps

Fast, detailed and totally offline maps with turn-by-turn navigation - over 100 million travelers worldwide trust them.

This was the first application we used. Saying it has to be a free application is very good. Although we decided to stop using it, since on more than one occasion it directed us to complicated, dangerous routes and even made us lose ourselves on more than one occasion, it also needs a lot of memory since you must download the maps. If you think about making long trips, it is highly recommended.

Sun Surveyor Lite

sunsurveyor.webp

Sun Surveyor Lite (Sun Compass Lite) predicts and visualizes the position of the Sun, its sunrise and sunset times with a 3D compass. It is useful for choosing locations for film and photography, orientation of solar panels, architecture, gardening, construction companies, Earth science fans, and much more!

We use this application to be able to target our tent.

C Quechua 500

Despite using various orientation systems to program our stages, on occasion we have used a compass.

Our advice would be: when acquiring a compass, it can be used in both hemispheres (be careful, not all compasses have this characteristic) and familiarize yourself with the product when handling it.

In our case: we also bought a fairly inexpensive one that has been very effective.

Purchased at decathlon, model: C Quechua 500.
